Netflix’s hit series Squid Game returns for its second season with seven action-packed episodes, featuring more extreme challenges that test players’ physical, mental, and moral limits.
The second season sees Lee Jung-jae reprising his role as Gi-hun, also known as Player 456, the champion of the first season. On his way to reunite with his daughter in the United States, Gi-hun is stopped in his tracks when he hears the voice of the Frontman (Lee Byung-hun), the mastermind behind the deadly games.
Determined to seek revenge and uncover the truth behind the games, Gi-hun dives back into the treacherous world.
Alongside Jung-jae and Byung-hun, other returning cast members include Wi Ha-jun as Detective Hwang Jun-ho and Gong Yoo as The Recruiter.
The new season also introduces a fresh lineup of characters, featuring Yim Si-wan as Myung-gi (Player 333), Kang Ha-neul as Dae-ho (Player 388), and Lee Jin-wook as Gyeong-seok (Player 246). Joining them are Yang Dong-geun as Yong-sik (Player 007), Kang Ae-sim as Geum-ja (Player 149), Lee Seo-hwan as Jung-bae (Player 390), and Jo Yu-ri as Jun-hee (Player 222).
This season promises even scarier challenges that force players into heartbreaking decisions. They must survive trials that not only test their physical strength but also provoke deep psychological conflict.
